Co-owner John Hilsher is a champion for in-home care in Austin. His passion and mastery of customer service has reached the guru level. His extensive collection of tools and 1970's era home secured his position as the staff handyman as well. Away from work he can be found playing a never ending game of tug-of-war with his dogs and is anxiously awaiting his first child with his lovely wife.
Stayin Alive
Today, the American Heart Association changed its CPR requirements. This is valuable information home health and for us all, especially for seniors ageing in place here in Austin. In a video demonstration online, they basically changed the order of CPR to the following:
Call 911
Compressions
Airways
Breathing
With the emphasis now on the compressions, it increases the success rate for those with no experience in the process. And as another article points out, most CPR is performed not only on a family member but at our home. The America Heart Association made a point to say that the compressions should be at 100 bpm or to the pace of the song Staying Alive. Coincidence? I don’t think so.
