Co-owner John Hilsher is a champion for in-home care in Austin.  His passion and mastery of customer service has reached the guru level.  His extensive collection of tools and 1970's era home secured his position as the staff handyman as well.  Away from work he can be found playing a never ending game of tug-of-war with his dogs and is anxiously awaiting his first child with his lovely wife.

Customer Service is key

I am very passionate about customer service and Senior Homecare in Austin.  I have been in the field for a couple of decades now and have seen it from all angles.  It sounds cliché but it’s true, Care At Home is really all about customer service.  It does not matter if you are receiving the service for yourself or a loved one, you are our customer and we focus on meeting your needs.

Here are some of my tenets for customer service.

You should be able to call one number and get things done.  In this day and age this is getting harder and harder for larger companies.  It can be so frustrating to have a question or issue and not be able to reach someone or not be able to communicate.  Then, once you have someone on the line, there is no guarantee that they will be able or willing to completely assist you.  Care At Home has a very simple approach.  We want to be there for our customers and their families.

After hours, our phones do not forward to an answering service, they forward to the owners!  Now I can not promise you that we will catch every call before it goes to our voice mail system. I think we may surprise you though.  Go ahead, test us, call now.

We are talking about “Old School” service.  Good ole “Call anytime – First name basis – Drop by for a cup of coffee” service that you probably barely remember.  If you call me with an issue that is eating you up at night, the chances are we are both going to lose some sleep over it until it is resolved.

Home health care is such an important decision with so many considerations to weigh.  Our goal is to make it as easy as possible and help as much as we can.

Your concerns are real, you need to talk with a real person, someone with compassion, empathy , life experience and professional knowledge of caring for your needs.
